The article discusses the confusion of identity. Markus Schinwald avoids being at all clear on any part of his artwork. Which is how some people tend to be, a confused closed book with mysterious fetishes. It's all very psychological and he increases confusion with varying elements of costume and setting to alienate. What decade is this film set in? One of many questions he prefers to linger in his artwork. It seems he'd rather create questions than answer. Besides, who wants to be an open book?
